Parish Council Meetings
Meetings take place in Holcombe Village Hall on the first Tuesday of every month and are scheduled to start promptly at 7:30pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of the Parish Council. The public are given a 15 minute session at the beginning of the meeting (limited to 5 minutes per person), where they can express any view or opinion appertaining to the village. Once the formal meeting has started, the public are encouraged to remain, unless their presence is prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted. Members of the public can only observe the meeting and not make comments, unless invited to do so by the Chairman of the meeting.
Members of the public may submit a written request to the Clerk of the Parish Council, to consider any matter within its remit. The Clerk will reply, giving the date of meeting when the item will be discussed, as soon as possible. Where allowed by the Freedom of Information Act 2000, requests for confidentiality will be respected.
Notice of a Council meeting will be displayed on the Parish notice board and this website, a minimum of three clear days before the meeting; the three days do not include the day on which the notice was issued, the day of the meeting, a Sunday, a day of the Christmas break, a day of the Easter break or a bank holiday or a day appointed for public thanksgiving or mourning.
Photographing, recording, broadcasting or transmitting the proceedings of a meeting by any means is not permitted without the Council's prior written consent. Please refer to Holcombe Parish Council's Audio-Visual Recording Policy.
