Holcombe Village Hall
Download Documents (pdf)
The Village Hall is located in Charlton Road approximately 200 metres from the crossroads of Brewery Lane and Stratton Road, Holcombe, BA3 5EW. The hall was built in the 1920's by the Miners Institute. The hall is a much loved feature of village life and provides a venue for all sorts of gatherings, social events, meetings and sporting activities.
Hall facilities include: chairs, tables, kitchen, toilet and facilities for impaired mobility or special needs. The building has been significantly upgraded recently by the addition of a covered walkway to the side main entrance, leaving the old front entrance as a fire exit (not shown on the old photograph). The hall is supported by the Parish Council having a heating system and Wi-Fi facilities, making the venue suitable to be hired for private functions etc.

Your Village Hall Needs You!
The current Committee has put a lot of hard work into making the hall attractive and functional, manages bookings and raises money to carry out repairs and improvements. We are always pleased to welcome more volunteers. Running the hall is more fun than you might expect and you have the satisfaction of knowing that you're doing something really worthwhile that benefits the residents of the village.
If there is anyone out there with DIY or practical skills and an enthusiasm to share your knowledge with others, young or old in the village, we would welcome your help with the general maintenance tasks. If you are interested in joining the Committee, please telephone Jane Dyson (01761 232715) or Kath Simpson (01761 233172).
