Holcombe Playing Field Orchard

You may recall that we planted 54 dwarf fruit trees on the playing field in February 2022 to commemorate the late Queen Elizabeth's platinum jubilee as part of the Queen's Green Canopy initiative.  

To mark this occasion, we commissioned a plaque to be displayed on the wall inside the gate to the playing field so that future generations could not only appreciate the trees but understand the significance of the mini orchard.  

This plaque is now on display and we are delighted that some of the trees are already bearing fruit!
